Halo wars achievements11/30/2023 ![]() ![]() Press, select SKULLS, press 3 times, and activate the Pain Train SKULL.ĭo the SKULL activation fast because it pauses the game while in the menu.Īfter that, select all units-, and start viewing to the enemy base while pressing to get your Warthog moving there. Select your base and queue up at least 4 Warthogs.Ģ. When the match starts, immediately do these two things:ġ. The Warthog Rush is consistently faster because you can always eliminate the enemy Warthog without it getting 'lost' on the map and wasting time.ĪI: Any Human enemy-DO NOT choose Covenant! (They have much stronger bases) The Warthog Rush does require the Pain Train skull(obtained in Mission 13 Beachhead) Loading screens are approximately 22 seconds total. The Prophet Rush takes anywhere from 90-120+ seconds(including loading screens). The Warthog Rush VERY consistently takes about 93-95 seconds(including loading screens). I have not done this at all Coop, but I expect Coop would be slightly faster as then you are only waiting for the loading screens and alternating Resigning. Once you've done all the other Skirmish achievements, here's my recommended method for quickly getting the rest done!Īfter much testing, I've found that the Warthog Rush is faster than the Covenant Prophet Rush. That will take at least 18 games, and will help a lot towards this and the other skirmish # achievements. I recommend playing the entire mission using this command (instead of ), as your units tend to fire less frequently.Make sure to get the mandatory skirmish matches out of the way first, playing with all leaders, on all maps, etc. Commanding a location with the button will utilize the ramming attack (if centered on a enemy). A press of the button will deselect all of your units. Alternatively, if you want to select a single Warthog (for the final assault), simply press on the unit you wish to command. This helps prevent stray Gauss and Turret fire from killing too many of those much needed Grunts without compromising the instant-kill potential of the ram ability.įor those uncertain of the proper controls, pressing to select all of your units followed by will allow you to select a specific type of unit. To better improve your chances, I would also recommend using the Catch and Sugar Cookies skulls to help your units and the Rebel Sympathizer skull to give your opposition a tab bit more health. I repeated this actions as many times as I could with the standard Warthogs, and the followed up with Forge to pick up the remaining groups. I used one standard Warthog at a time, marking a single group with the ram ability, and then retreating outside the base to regenerate the ability. If you try and use Forge at the end, he will follow your first splatter command, but will make short work of the other groups nearby with the Gauss turret. I kept the Warthogs earned along the way far back to save them for the final assault on the base. Playing on normal (or heroic, for extra AI damage resistance) and using only Forge to jump in and out of splattering Grunts along the beginning route seemed to work well. You won't truly know if they have until you are done clearing the base out, so I found it best to simply revert if things went south. ![]() The final showdown in the base is highly random and can go sideways at any minute, especially if the two carpet bombs wipe out too many Grunts. Personally, I only saved up until the point where you are instructed to destroy the shield with the marines. I strongly suggest completing this achievement solo, so that you can leverage the saving functionality when things are going well. ![]()
